Week 2 Term 2

This week we started our Reading Rotation activities. These included using the Letter School app on the iPads......

....developing our fine motor skills and observational skills using Read and Draw sheets.....

.......enjoying books in the Library Corner....

......... learning how to do a Rainbow Letter, and how to cut the middle out of an 'a' shape.
With Sam we finger printed our names and painted egg cartons ready to make our ant models next week.

On Thursday we had our first lesson of No Child Left Inside. Lots of fun was had by all and we made sure we were Sun Safe by wearing out hats.

Lots of collaboration, exploration and imagination was seen during play based learning at the start of the day.

At the end of these sessions we have been developing our oral language by describing our creations and answering questions about them from our friends.

We are trialing having our own spots on the mat next week, good job we took a photo to remember where we decided to sit!
To end this week's blog we have made a short slide show of our first shared library session with our Room 5 buddies.

  1. Thank you Hazel for the amazing Dinosaur you made for Valentines day. I am so proud that you got a certificate at assembly for the way you explained it to the class. From Georgie.
